JIU-JITSU & MIXED MARTIAL ARTS CLASSES
MIXED MARTIAL ARTS
Our MMA classes are designed for everyone regardless of experience level or if you want to compete or not.   They're just awesome classes where you learn the sport of MMA.  Basically, you learn how to fight.

Some MMA classes focus on grappling skills such as takedowns, wall / fence combat, escapes, ground & pound and submissions.  Other mixed martial arts classes will focus on striking skills such as punches, elbows, knees, and kicks; and finally how to combine striking and grappling together.

Each class is fun, intense and challenging.  Yes there is sparring (many variations). But sparring is earned and done in a controlled manner.

If you're looking to fight or want to see what MMA training is all about, take our 1-week FREE trial to see if it's for you.
SUBMISSION GRAPPLING
Our submission grappling classes are fast-paced, takedown and submission oriented classes.  These classes are a lot of fun and blur the lines between self-defense, BJJ sport and MMA.

These classes are primarily taught by Matt Bryers and Ken Cotrona who both have black belts in BJJ and Kobukai Jujitsu as well as vast experience in MMA, wrestling, and many other martial arts systems.

This class integrates many different concepts where the objective is to always finish.  Students will learn takedowns, ground fighting, submissions (including leg locks), escapes and everything in between.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Learn the martial art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.  In these classes you will learn a combination of sport and self-defense techniques.  These classes are taught in a gi, are a lot of fun and extremely creative.

Classes are primarily taught by Oz Pariser and Matt Bryers and are great for all levels.

You will learn primarily ground-based combat where fighting from and using the BJJ Guard to attack for sweeps (reversals) and submissions are a big component of training.  Jiu-Jitsu is a big world to explore and each person develops their own way of exploring it.

If you are interested in learning a modern, creative, 'human chess' like martial art; check out our BJJ Classes.  You'll love it!
TRITAC Combatives
TRITAC is a framework and methodology of how to learn and train martial arts.  Our TRITAC Combatives classes combine the most essential martial arts skills into a cohesive system that teaches you how to defend yourself, protect others and ultimately - learn how to fight.

Classes are focused on no-rules combat.  You will learn fundamental fighting movements, how to defend and attack with punches, kicks, knees, elbows, hammers and 'frames', escapes & counters, situational defense and weapons combat.

You will develop skills to fight against multiple attackers and protect others against the worst possible situations.

Basically, it's a No-Rules MMA class with weapons designed for those who put self-defense first.
KIDS JIU-JITSU
Our goal at Cage JSA is to provide a fun and safe environment for your kids to grow physically and mentally with a solid jiu-jitsu program that not only teaches them self-defense skills, but also how to be better not only in class, but in their daily lives as well.

Confidence is built and “earned”. Through jiu-jitsu practice confidence, is built as student's skills improve. They will learn new techniques, movements and challenges. As they conquer them, their confidence grows and they're ready for the next challenge.

Jiu-Jitsu is perfect for those shy kids who need a little boost.  Not everyone is meant to play baseball or soccer; but everyone can and will GREATLY benefit from Jiu-Jitsu.  Confidence, athleticism, and discipline are just part results your kids will experience.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM TRAINING

CONFIDENCE & STRENGTH

There is nothing better a man or woman could do to improve their overall confidence and strength, than to train martial arts.  In 6 months, they will be different, more evolved humans.

LEGIT FIGHTING SKILLS

What we teach you is no joke.  You will learn to seriously hurt and harm others.  You will also quickly realize 99.9% percent of people do not know how to fight.
In 6-12 months, you're going to be the .1% who does.

PROVABLE RESULTS

Everyday you walk onto the mat, you're going to get better.  You can prove it every class.  In the beginning of a class you couldn't do a technique or movement; and now you can.  Everyday you will find success on the mat.

THE BEST FRIENDS ARE THE ONES YOU FIGHT

Training Jiu-Jitsu or MMA is not a solo endeavor.  There are no "forms".  We need each other to train with - that's why we love new students!  More friends to train with!  When training with your friends, you develop deep friendships that are just 'different'.

MMA FIGHTING SKILLS

MMA is the only REAL sport.  :)  Everything else is just play.  MMA training is awesome, but it's really, really tough.  Most don't realize how hard it's going to be.  But, if you think you got what it takes, we'll train you.

STRONG HEALTHY BODY

When training martial arts, your body just evolves.  Most students drop fat and build muscle without even realizing it's happening!  You can't help but get in great shape when training consistently.

YOU CAN'T FAKE JIU-JITSU

There's no BS in Jiu-Jitsu.  It is one of the most real training or athletic experiences you will ever have.  When you know Jiu-Jitsu, it's real, it's powerful, and just f_cking cool!

STRESS-FREE CLARITY

It is almost impossible to be in a bad mood after a good training session.  Stress melts away, you feel great, you did something good for your mind and body; and you're able to just see clearer.

SUCCESS IN COMPETITION

Not everyone competes.  But competition; whether it's MMA or BJJ is one of the best ways to challenge yourself and 'microwave' your development.  Those who compete advance at a very fast pace.

TOUGHNESS

Listen, sometimes training is gonna suck.  There are going to be days where you're going to want to quit and question why you even started this shit.  But, those who tough it out, are generously rewarded.
FAQS
What Gear Do I Need?
To start, just shorts and a t-shirt.  We've got loaner gis and MMA equipment.  Eventually you will need your own gi for BJJ and your own MMA gear.
How Many Students In A Class?
Class sizes varies, but on average there are 15-25 per class with many different experiences levels.  We also will have 2-3 instructors on the mat at all times.
Will I Get Hurt?
Let's be honest, this isn't a friendly game of softball.  You're learning to hit and break people, there are some bumps and bruises along the way.  BUT - it is very, very, VERY rare that injuries happen.
What Does It Cost?
We have a few different levels for different paths.  On average our students pay $99 to $189 a month.
Is There A Contract?
Yes, we do a 12 month contract (required by law).  But we do not chase after clients nor continually bill them if they want to leave.  It's an agreement that we will charge you for a set service.
We have many repeat clients, and do not want to "tarnish" our reputation by charging you for services that you don't use.
How Often Should I Train?
In the beginning, we suggest training 2-4 times a week.  As you improve and want to focus on specific goals you can up the amount of training.  If you are planning on competing, you are training 5-6 days a week, sometimes multiple times a day.
When Are Classes?
We have BJJ, MMA & Submission Grappling classes 7 days a week, at least 2 times a day.  We offer morning and night classes, each with a different focus.  If you are new, get started with a 1-week trial and we'll schedule your first class with you.
Do I Have To Compete?
Absolutely not, but it is a great way to challenge yourself.  Not everyone wants to be a World Champion, but there are many local tournaments that provide you the opportunity to challenge yourself and improve.
How Long Till I "Get Good"?
This is up to you.  Everyone WILL get good, but it just depends on how much time you spend on the mat.  But, on average it takes about 6 months to 1 year for a student to develop a solid base for combat.
I'm Worried I'm Going To Look Stupid
Listen, everyone had to walk onto the mats the first time.  It's weird at first.  There's a bunch of people who you don't know who can all kick your ass :)  But, we promise you, that everyone is here to help you get better.  We all started from the bottom, and had support from our instructors and fellow students to consistently get better.
